  • Uses capitalization (beginning of sentences, I, and names)

  • Uses ending punctuation correctly

  • Spells grade level high frequency words correctly

  • Uses spelling patterns


Revising and Editing

THIRD GRADE

  • Uses linking words and phrases to connect ideas within subtopics

  • Writes a concluding statement or section
